Lobby 99 gives each of us a real way to influence the decisions that shape our lives. That’s what democracy is all about!
Lobby 99 is a non-profit civil society organization dedicated to advocating for and advancing the socio-economic interests of the public. This advocacy occurs in the arenas of decision-making and policy formulation within the Knesset and government.
Lobby 99 challenges the specific interests of corporations and capitalists. We stand as a counterweight to commercial lobbyists within the halls of influence, and voice public concerns directly to influential policymakers.
Our goal: Redirect financial gains back to the community.

2.6 billion shekels have been secured in public pension savings for the next five years.
Over 80% of Israel’s consumer goods regulations, which were initially intended to restrict low-cost imports, have now been updated to align with European standards.
Thanks to the legislative change we championed, we've successfully recovered 1.78 billion shekels in taxes from ICL.
600 items have been incorporated into the import reform, saving billions.

We Returned 500 Million ₪ to the Public
After nearly three years of legal proceedings, Israel’s High Court of Justice unanimously accepted our petition and ordered ICL to pay about 500 million ₪ in water fees for extracting and using water within the Dead Sea concession area.
Impact for the Public: Lower water costs for Israeli citizens.
Pension and Insurance
We Improved the “Savings for Every Child” Program
We advanced legislation allowing future deposits in the “Savings for Every Child” program to move to higher-yield investment funds instead of low-interest bank deposits — building on our earlier reform that changed the program’s default investment track.
Impact for the Public: Higher returns for children’s long-term savings.
Banking Reform
How Much Did You Pay in Bank Fees This Month? That SMS Exists Thanks to Our Law
We helped pass legislation requiring banks to send customers a monthly SMS detailing the total fees and interest charged that month.
Impact for the Public: Easier comparison between banks and stronger bargaining power to reduce costs.
Public Transportation
Improved Bus Tender Criteria for Passengers
Following our appeal, the Public Transportation Authority revised the criteria for bus operator tenders, giving greater emphasis to service quality and reliability.
Impact for the Public: Stronger incentives for bus companies to arrive on time and serve all stops.

A Better Dead Sea Concession for the Public
We secured key provisions in the law governing the future Dead Sea concession, including a larger state share of profits, stronger environmental protections, and greater transparency in the management of this national resource.
Impact for the Public: Higher state revenues, stronger environmental oversight, and greater transparency.
Consumer Protection
Price Tags in Supermarkets Are Here to Stay
We led the campaign against a plan to abolish mandatory price labels on supermarket products. Following public pressure, the Minister of Economy reversed the decision.
Impact for the Public: Clear prices on the shelf and easier price comparison.
Consumer Protection
Shopping Vouchers Now Valid for Up to 15 Years
After a prolonged campaign, we strengthened consumer protections for shopping vouchers (such as "BuyMe" and "Tav HaZahav"). Voucher validity was extended to up to 15 years, and issuing companies must now send annual reminders and notify users before vouchers expire.
Impact for the Public: Your voucher balance won’t go to waste.
Banking Reform
Banks Must Now Warn Customers Before Benefits Expire
We initiated and advanced legislation requiring banks to notify customers - through effective channels such as SMS - before free or discounted banking services expire and higher charges take effect.
Impact for the Public: No more surprise charges, and time to switch banks or services before fees kick in.
Lobby 99 gives each of us a real way to influence the decisions that shape our lives. That’s what democracy is all about!
Lobby 99 is unique, courageous, and effective. Its impact is measurable and meaningful, and its success is a success for all of us.
Lobby 99 has opened my eyes more than once. Beyond the fight against the cost of living and monopolies, they’ve really helped me understand how power and influence work in Israel. And that’s even before I donated a single shekel.
At a time when politicians from across the political spectrum seem busy making deals with our money, it’s important to have a watchdog protecting the assets that belong to all of us
Lobby 99 is finally doing in the Knesset the work I’ve always wished someone would do. It’s the only organization I trust completely, both in its integrity and in its mission.
These are the most effective 20 shekels I spend every month. Every time, I feel relieved knowing there are people who are “on it” – dealing with all the things hidden deep inside Israeli bureaucracy on my behalf.
Why Lobby 99? Because companies like ICL are doing everything they can to avoid transferring money to Israel’s sovereign wealth fund – the fund meant to serve future generations. Join Lobby 99 and let our lobbyists represent us – the public.
Why did I join? Because it’s a way to push back against the feeling of powerlessness in the face of those in power and the tycoons behind them
I’m proud to be part of Lobby 99. They’re like the public’s Robin Hood, standing up to the powerful interests that dominate the economy. Instead of protecting the public interest, the government often looks after the tycoons – and that’s exactly why Lobby 99 is so important.
We have to strengthen and protect our lobby, the public’s lobby, against the endless economic interests of tycoons, big corporations, and everyone who profits from the system. We simply have to.
I’ve been a member of Lobby 99 for over five years, and I haven’t seen another organization in Israel that works with the same transparency and determination on the issues its members choose. It’s important for Lobby 99 to keep growing and bringing in new members, so it can recruit the experts needed to carry out its important work.
We wanted to make a difference, so we joined in the very first year. Over the years we’ve seen the results and that’s why it’s so important for Lobby 99 to keep growing stronger.
